Hey! I’m Andy.
Well, the digital one.
Your website, handled by text.
Ask Andy is a digital version of me, built right into your website. Tell it what you need in plain English, and it gets the changes ready for you to approve. Like texting your web developer, without waiting for me to get back to you.
For WordPress sites I build and look after: online stores and business websites.
- Can you put the autumn candles 20% off this weekend? Friday 9am till Sunday night.
-
Andy
- On it 🍂 That’s 6 candles, $28 → $22.40. I’ve set it to start Fri 9:00am and go back to normal Sun 11:59pm. Ready for you to check in Changes.

Autumn weekend sale, 20% off
6 changes · Scheduled Fri 9:00am → Sun 11:59pm
Schedule 6 changes Review
Ask, check, done. Nothing changes until you say so.
-
1 · Ask
Text it like you’d text me
From your phone or your laptop: “Update the opening hours for the holidays.” “Write descriptions for the new arrivals.” Send a photo, a price list or an invoice too.
-
2 · Check
See every change first
Each change shows what it is now and what it’ll become. Edit the wording, untick anything you don’t want, or schedule it for later.
-
3 · Done
Approve, and it’s live
Your site updates in the background, with a record of who approved what. Changed your mind? Undo it for up to two weeks.
The jobs that eat your week
The little updates that pile up between bigger projects. The ones you’d normally email me about, or leave for “when there’s time”.
Photos to product listings
Snap a few photos of something new. It drafts the whole listing: name, description in your voice, categories, alt text and SEO. You add the price, check it and publish.
Alt text and SEO, done properly
It looks at each photo and writes alt text that says what’s really there, plus SEO titles and descriptions written for each page, not copied and pasted.
Sales and updates on a schedule
“20% off from Friday, back to normal on Sunday night.” Approve it today and it switches on and off by itself.
Stock booked in from an invoice
Send the supplier’s invoice or packing slip. It matches each line to a product and gets the stock updates ready to approve.
A weekly check‑up, if you want one
It looks the site over once a week: missing photos, broken links, past events still showing, phone numbers that don’t match. Each comes with a “Fix it” button.
Answers about your site
“How did last month compare?” “What hasn’t sold since summer?” It answers with the numbers, and never sees who bought what.
It remembers how you like things
Correct it once (“we never say cheap”) and it can save that as a house rule it follows in every chat after.
The real me, when you need me
Design changes, new features, something broken: it writes up a clear request for you to send, and I reply right there in the app.
Helpful, and careful with your site
It’s built the way I’d want my own site handled. The important rules are part of the code, so no clever wording in a chat can talk it out of them.
- You approve everything
- Nothing on your site changes until someone on your team approves it. Every change is recorded, and can be undone for two weeks.
- Your customers stay private
- Customers’ names, emails, addresses and order notes are never sent to the AI. It works with order numbers and totals only.
- Words, not code
- It changes content: text, photos, products, prices. It can’t touch code, plugins, settings, payments or refunds.
- Honest about being AI
- It says it’s the digital me, and never makes promises on my behalf. The real me is always one tap away.
- Your voice, your rules
- It follows instructions written for your site (how you talk, how things are named) plus any house rules your team adds.
- No surprise bills
- Monthly and per-person spending limits keep the AI costs where you want them.
Online stores
Products, stock, sales and orders
New listings from a few photos, stock booked in from an invoice, weekend sales that switch themselves off, order statuses, and plain-English answers about what’s selling.
Business websites
Pages, services, team and news
Opening hours, services and prices, team bios, projects and blog posts, photos and SEO. It notices old dates, past events and phone numbers that don’t match.
It works out which kind of site it’s on, and changes its focus to match.
Questions
Is it really you?
It’s an AI version of me, set up to work the way I do and to talk like I would. It’s upfront about that. When something needs the real me, it’ll write it up and send it my way.
Which AI does it use?
Claude, from Anthropic. Your site’s content is sent to Claude only to work on what you’ve asked for, and your customers’ personal details never are.
Could it break my website?
It can only change content, every change waits for someone to approve it, and anything can be undone for two weeks. Code, design and settings are off limits, so those stay with me.
Will it work on my website?
Ask Andy is a WordPress plugin. I set it up on sites I build and look after, so it knows your site properly from day one. Not a client yet? Let’s talk.
Who on my team can use it?
Whoever you choose: owners, managers, staff. It works on any phone or computer, and you can add it to your home screen like an app.
What does it cost?
That depends on your site and how much you’ll use it. Get in touch and I’ll give you a straight answer.
